The Farm, Pontremoli and the "Via Francigena"

Fattoria Ruschi Noceti is a winery located in Tuscany, in the province of Massa Carrara, specifically in the upper Lunigiana region, in the municipality of Pontremoli.
The farm’s vineyards are located on the La Costa hill, southeast of Pontremoli, offering splendid views. The hill overlooks the ancient town of Pontremoli, the Piagnaro Castle and all of the surrounding hills and forests.

The Farm’s wine cellars are located in Santa Giustina, in the southern district of ​​the Municipality of Pontremoli. Santa Giustina, a former monastery, which today houses one of the two cellars, is named in the itinerary of the “Via Francigena” which was drawn up and designed by Sigerico in 990 during his return journey from Rome to Canterbury (England). The “Via Francigena”, which runs along the ancient town of Pontremoli is a pilgrimage route that leads to Rome. During medieval times it was considered to be one of the most important and strategic European trade routes.

Villa Pavesi Ruschi - Mulazzo

Villa Pavesi Ruschi is a historic residence owned by the Ruschi Noceti family, located in Piano di Busatica in the nearby municipality of Mulazzo. The Villa Pavesi park hosts an experimental vineyard collecting Lunigiana grapes, which was an integral part of a University of Pisa research project conducted since 1994.
